Captured over the course of 90 minutes one morning, this documentary short offers a glimpse into the life and craft of Baltimore barber Julio Rodriguez in the heart of Fells Point, a historic waterfront neighborhood known for its working-class roots, independent businesses, and rich layers of immigrant history.
His barbershop was part of the fabric of the neighborhood—a place where generations of customers gathered for a haircut, conversation, and connection.
The film serves as a portrait of his craft, dedication, and quiet presence. A few months after retiring from cutting hair, Julio passed away.
Music by Miles Davis.
