These images were created during the production of director John Waters’ film Pecker by Fine Line Features and are featured throughout the film as the photographs taken by the main character.
The film follows Pecker, a young Baltimore photographer who works a monotonous day job while pursuing his passion for photographing his family, friends, and neighborhood. The black-and-white images were intentionally distressed to reflect the character’s use of an inexpensive camera and limited darkroom experience, reinforcing the film’s distinctive visual style.
